Summary:

This week long program will cover hitting, infield, outfield, pitching, and baserunning fundamentals.  After completing each station with our professional staff, the players’ fundamentals will be put to the test.  Players will be given the opportunity to apply their newly taught skills in a modified game and/or competition.  Full Day Campers will receive a pizza or sub lunch along with snacks (subway/pizza/chick fila/hot dogs) Following lunch, players will resume scrimmage which will be followed by more games and competitions.

*Lunch will be included for the full day campers only.  If you do not feel comfortable with the catered food, please bring your own lunch.  (Subway, Chick-Fil-A, and Pizza)

*  I will have gallon water jugs available for refills.

*We will have hand sanitizer available for staff and campers at all times


Half Day Camp:

  • Rookies: Rising 3rd-5th graders
  • Minors: Rising 6th-8th graders

  • 9:00-9:20- Warm up
  • 9:20-9:30- Throw
  • 9:30-9:35- Water Break
  • 9:35-10:55- 4, 20 Min. Rotations  Covering Infield, Outfield, Pitching and Hitting
  • 10:55-11:00- Water Break
  • 11:00-11:50- PBT Games/Competition
  • 11:50-12:00- Pack up

Full Day Itinerary:

  • 9:00-12:00- Same as Half Day
  • 12:00-1:00- Lunch
  • 1:00-1:55 Hitting on the field
  • 1:55-2:00 Water Break
  • 2:00-2:50- PBT Games/Competition
  • 2:50-3:00- Pack up

Staff Members:

Coach Brian Bent works with players of all ages to strengthen and develop their mental and physical skills in the game of baseball. Brian attended Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore City where he played 4 years of varsity baseball. He was named 1st team all metro in 2003 and played in the 2003 Crown All Star Game held at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Brian played for Team Maryland in 2003, traveling to Oklahoma to play among the among the countries best prospects. He went on to play two years of college baseball at Delaware Tech and Catonsville Community College where he was twice named 2nd Team All Region. In 2005, Brian was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles.

Coach Ed Nottingham comes to PBT from Windsor Mill, Maryland.  He attended Mount Saint Joseph High School where he trained with Brian Bent at PBT.  Ed went on to play 3 years of Varsity baseball for MSJ. He was selected to play in the MLB breakout showcase.  After graduating, Ed went on to play College Baseball for CCBC where he became a Maryland JUCO Gold Glove Award Winner.  He was also 5th on the schools all time career hits leaderboard. Ed played Summer Baseball with the MD Monarchs and Pressman Cardinals where he represented Baltimore at the AAABA National Championship in Johnstown, PA.  Ed attended Shepherd University where he was a staple in the high powered offense. He made D2 baseball’s April Team of the Month, 1st Team All Conference for the Mountain East, National College Baseball Writer Association’s 1st Team All Atlantic Region, and National Baseball Writers Association’s All-American Team.

Coach Dave Byroade works primarily with pitchers of all ages specializing in the basic fundamentals and mechanics of successful pitching. Dave is from Western Pennsylvania and played in the infamous AAABA tournament in Johnstown, PA. His summer league was primarily a college level league and he competed at age 15 years old. Prior to playing college baseball, Dave was a two sport athlete in high school (Baseball and Basketball). After high school, he attended Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh and recorded the school’s first no hitter. In 1969, he signed a professional baseball contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers organization. He spent several years in their minor league system. During his professional career, he was instructed by some of baseball’s most renowned pitching coaches. He made several appearances with the Major League club during spring training.

Kyle Gavin    3 Year varsity player and 2 year starter for South Carroll High School. Pitched to a career 3.24 ERA and helped guide team to a 2015 County and Regional Championship and a state playoff semi final appearance. 2015 & 2016 All County and All Region honors. Multiple college opportunities. 4 years of Baseball at McDaniel College. Played in the top Division 3 conference in the Nation. Upset #1 in the nation in 2018.  Earned a spot in starting rotation in 2020
